We have loved and raised aussies since 2010. My first Mini, Dakota, was very high drive and had eyes and loyalty for only me. I adored this dog and wanted other people to be able to have what I had with him. I wanted to breed him. When he passed too soon, I knew this was the only breed for me. He showed me what I wanted in a dog.... And also what I didn't. Haha. About a year later, I was given the opportunity to purchase his brother and jumped at it.
His brother was a gorgeous black bi and just perfect looking. He was going to be my future stud. When he was about 4wks, in a weird twist of fate, He was smothered under his ever careful mother. I was offered a merle male to come look at. With my hopes crushed, I accepted the offer and planned to come look.
As I make my way up his breeder's drive, I am not very hopeful and even unsure. I thought coming to consider another pup was the courteous thing to do. I walk into the room and she holds him up and i almost lose it. It took everything in me not to cry. This sweet little merle pup was the spitting image of Dakota. The only difference with this puppy was his 1 blue eye.
I knew I was being given another opportunity to do something more with my ideas and dreams. This pup was mine. EDGE was my new start and the fire that reignited my passion to share not only this breed, but the bond this breed offers.
